After only 3 short month, Brian Dockins delivers his 9th opus in the Doma series and he proves that you don't necessarily need ages to publish quality books (that's for you G.R.R Martin!)Reckoning is basically the preparation for a huge battle between the Department and Cadan's group and that said battle but that's where it gets really interesting because what a battle it is!! It's one of the best battle scene I've read since Helm's Deep in Lord of the Rings. Brian Dockins is using the multiple point of view narrative to great effects: the battle is fast-paced yet very detailed and more importantly highly entertaining. Furthermore, the reader gets to have a lot of information on what's to come without any spoiler, that's just enough to make us hope that he will write book 10 as fast as he did the previous 2!!

The entire DOMA series is so awesome. I am proud how he has delivered the gay community in such a clean family sort of way. My 7 and 9yr old have totally loved this series. It shows children can be strong and service but it takes a commuinty to help achieve balance. The boys have asked numerous questions about the different characters and their races. They apply all this in their day to day lives. We are excited for your nextbook so please keep us informed.
I reccommend this series for parents that read to their children. Keep an open mind. Waiting for book 10.
